Spartacus joined the family in January 2021. We knew nothing about him but that his previous caretaker got evicted from her apartment and the new place didn't allow pets. And that somebody thought it cute to name a cat after a pizza chain.
In the middle of the pandemic it was really tough to find an animal to adopt. But Ginger wasn't really living up to our hopes. We were going to meet her needs and give her whatever love she would accept, but she just mostly kept to herself, or otherwise pestered Stella at work for something she wouldn't specify (but definitely not pets). We needed another cat.
