Half Moon Pass
While I did almost nothing on planning for Mammoth this year to avert disappointment when it all goes up in smoke, Bill spent a lot of time watching videos, looking through books and websites, and getting excited about the upcoming trip. Which more specifically meant creating routes for us to do. That made it pretty easy for us all to get started.
This was to be a really easy exploration with a very short approach and no expectation of success. The idea was to try to reach Half Moon Pass. If we managed that, we could descend the other side, or try to follow the ridge to Pointless Peak. -F.
