I was finding the going surprisingly difficult. It wasn't a matter of lacking the leg power, but my footing felt insecure, and I sometimes tended to slip when I didn't expect to. But it was an enjoyable climb up to Fern Lake, nonetheless. -F.


Quite steep, but lovely and fresh. -S.
