Echo Ridge
It was rather weird. First time in 2011 on Echo Ridge, I turned back after just a few meters. Two years later, it was a thrilling and fun scramble. Today I just felt apathetic. Bill just walks right up with his sticks. I use hands and feet as though on a wall, but it presents no challenge or thrill, nor is it hard. I feel a mixture of disappointment and apathy, still a little dizzy from lack of acclimatization, nor do I muster any enthusiasm. Somehow the Mammoth magic hasn't set in yet. -F.
