Conness East Ridge
The rest day did wonders. I felt energetic and ready to go today.
Bill proposed this attempt at Mt Conness via the East Ridge. We had tried the East Ridge once before, which had been a tremendously fun scramble on the ridge until we ran into a huge gap. He said we'd reach the ridge beyond the gap now, and that he'd been looking at this route for some time. We put his track on our GPSs, and thought, fine let's give it a try!
Even with the map I couldn't quite picture what he had in mind, but my sense of geography and orientation is not particularly good.
