Jo shows Bill how to use a sling in lieu of a Personal Anchor System (PAS) to secure himself to the bolts before commencing to build the anchor.


Bill prepares a quad anchor, deploys it, and grills Jo about variations we had discussed at home at his instigation.


When it is my turn, I have the benefit of reusing Bill's quad, so I can focus instead on pretending I'm on the wall and have just one hand available to clip a clove hitch to a 'biner and adjust it before hanging up the anchor and making sure all the carabiners are locked and facing the right direction. -F.
