Hāna Highway
We scramble toward an unnamed waterfall at the top of Punalau stream. The rocks are very slippery with mud. The jungle is thick, humid, and heavy. The contrast with our Sierra Nevada hikes is dramatic, and yet the joy of scrambling is the same. -S.
