Croissants

Tomorrow
My drive this time - from Denver over the Rocky Mountains and descending Westward. Stella didn't feel like playing with the camera while I drove, so there aren't more pictures. It was an interesting and fun drive along the twisty mountain roads - until the sun lowered and scattered off the windshield and shone into my eyes amidst the rush hour traffic. We only found two hotels, one of which was full, the other filling rapidly with huge men in huger dirty pickups, looking for jobs. A deputy sheriff interrogated the hotel desk clerk (on a familiar first name basis) about the murder that happened a night or two ago.
Did we feel out of place with our shiny red furrin ragtop (Desk clerk: "How do you spell 'Saab'?") yuppie car with the New York plates!

We finally located an "Olive Garden" chain outlet restaurant where we could get a meatless meal.
