From another informational plaque: "This two room pueblo represents the type of architecture that began around AD 1100. The pithouse behind you was constructed during an earlier period, but may have been reused as a storage room when the Sinagua lived in the pueblo. "Cultural changes can be traced by excavating these sites. In addition to architectural styles, archeologists use indicators such as pottery styles, burial practices and trade items to document changes." |
