Having settled in comfortably at Lisa's, I spent a good part of the first day in the apartment, waiting for the baggage to arrive, that had gotten lost somewhere between United and Lufthansa in Frankfurt. Meanwhile, this view out of the window burned itself into my awareness, and became an old friend.
