We invited Bill to join us, but he wasn't thrilled about getting up and out early.

But not long after, he sent us a plan with a rather more ambitious outing than we were intending, and said he'd get going with about an hour head start. He drives slower than we do to conserve fuel and wear on his 1980s van, so we do have experience for estimating how long each would take. -F.
