Half Moon Pass
Below is Golden Lake. South from there is the climbing route to Mt Starr which we didn't quite successfully summit years ago, and which sits on the same ridgeline as Half Moon Pass. Bill's idea was to use Half Moon Pass as a shortcut to Mt Starr, avoiding the long drag up Mosquito Flat and the climb past Ruby Lake and over Mono Pass. -F.
