Clark Canyon Rock Climb
A small change in gradient is really noticeable. In my recollection, after climbing slab a long way, there's a short vertical headwall of maybe five feet, then a problem of getting onto a sloped ledge of sorts. This I think is where I am in the photos; except the change in gradient really does not look like much! But other photos will reveal it better. I struggle for a while trying to find a way up the "headwall" section, with Jo shouting beta at me. Finally I swing a leg up and pull myself up sideways. Not elegant, but it works, and the anchor isn't far to go. -F.
