Bill is already fatigued before he even gets on the wall this final time, and says so, but gives it a go anyway.


The route is harder than the previous ones, and he is on the verge of giving up several times when he's unable to locate any hand or foot holds that appear trustworthy to him. Jo gives him encouragement and coaxes him on until he is close to the top. -F.
