Conness East Ridge
We abandoned the idea of following the use trail we found, not knowing where it led. Indeed, we talked to a hiker who had followed us down from Conness, who had started at the campground in the morning, but also had not found a trail and was just retracing his steps.
So we used the bread crumbs on our GPS to navigate back down. -F.
