Stella has clipped her first draw, and is working her way up along the crack. This crack is the end of a thin layer of rock, like a layer of onion - sometimes you can slip your fingers underneath it, sometimes you can only press along the edge. -F.
The holds looked sparse from below, but there was always one where you needed it. I leaned into the slab and felt very comfortable moving over the rock. -S.
