Tenaya Canyon

After yet another sleepless night, I crept upstairs like a zombie and set my caffetiera on the stove. Before I've had at least my first espresso, I'm not even going to try to talk to anyone. Perhaps some blood will begin to circulate eventually. I was neither asleep nor awake.

I hoped today we could keep it short for once, have time to digest dinner before bed, start packing for an early departure next day.

Bill had been down Tenaya Slide before, a little further than we'd go today. It was the last hike David had done in the Sierra, too. Bill has mentioned it often and was eager to show it to us. It was a fairly long drive, and it was not early when we arrived at the trailhead.
