North Dome



There are no photos, but after a lunch in the copse of trees just down from the Dome, Bill and I set out to try to get to Basket Dome. To my surprise Bill explained that this was cross country with no trail. I was expecting manicured trail, but what-the-hell, I'm game. Stella was a little behind us but had to return to the lunch spot to retrieve her forgotten sticks, Having seen the adventurous endeavour before us, she decided it was to better just wait for us to give up.

I cautiously followed Bill, but when I saw the hillside covered in willow to go bush-whacking through, I knew this was doomed and preferred to not waste time and effort on it. I let Bill lead me, but he found no good way through, and we made our way back to intercept Stella on the trail. -F.
