| I had some preconceptions about the rez. But wherefrom, anyway, really? A few books about things that happened long - not really very long - ago, and on a different reservation (Pine Ridge). I felt shamefully unprepared in more ways than one as we followed the road through Navajo territory. For one thing, I had the misconception that I could simply learn as I go. |
