| A way above, a rugged young man with beard and gear pushed rapidly up the hill, warning about
the mule train right behind him, which he was trying to stay ahead of. "They are slow, but they are relentless!",
he said. I descended a good five minutes more before rounding the bend and coming face to face with a mule. I turned on my heel and found a nook in the wall to let the train pass. A little later, Stella also arrived, and, our half hour being up, we turned to follow the mules. |
