The iconic East German Walk and Don't Walk symbols, one of the very, very few things (name another!) adopted by the West from the East after Reunification. This was the first such umbrella I saw, and I fell in love with it. To my horror, I soon found that the city was inundated with these Ampelmännchen umbrellas and canvas beach chairs and other tourist kitsch.
