Red Peak
We got up this morning without any plan, and yet rather irritated, because we felt our Mammoth trip dribbling away through our fingers. The wind had picked up again considerably, but not as much as two days prior. However, it was still not a good day to be exposed on a high ridge.
Somebody suggested we attempt the possible route up to Red Peak that Bill had discovered yesterday; and for lack of a better idea, we piled into Bill's van and drove back to Coldwater Campground.
