Frank's Haleakalā Climb

By the time I reached the park entrance, where I waited briefly in line behind two cars, my legs felt wobbly standing.

The ranger made me take the receipt out of my clear wallet, and explain why I'd purchased a National Parks pass and a bike pass the day before (in order not to be delayed here at the park entrance today).

I made a brief toilet stop at the lower Visitor Center, but that was all the break I got. Meanwhile, my tired legs were showing the first twinges of cramping. -F.
