Bill got way out in front, while Stella and I had the pressure of the Nederlander we were pacing pushing us on. I was hiking faster than I was used to. After a good long while of this, we both stepped aside and the bunch of them marched past.

By the time we were back on the old broken pavement uphill, I was severely dragging. Where is my power and energy? 200 m from the end, I had to sit down for a long rest on a log. I felt old and decrepit. -F.

Not like this spring chicken. -S
