Gerry climbs up to assist Stella by placing an aid piece - in this case a sling she can grab or step into. -F.

I couldn't go up or down, and I said that I was considering quitting altogether. But Gerry was very encouraging, guiding my foot placement and offering a little boost up to the exit. Everything got better after this point. -S.
