Ros and Barrie's
Plants and Critters
By the final days, I'd become quite enamored of coco water. When we moved into Ros and Barrie's, there were many cocos lying around, and there was a knife on the patio which I imagined could only have had one purpose. Indeed it worked! But, back from a bike ride next day, I saw with dismay that the gardener must have been there and cleaned up! Next morning I trudged over to Ocean Breezes, and Gabi macheted open a couple of his harder ones (I could not have penetrated them with the knife). Yet when I returned to Ros and Barries', there were two more freshly fallen young cocos! -F.
