Attempt on Shepherd Crest
The blue line is an approximation of what the route might have looked like. Once on the face, we would have had to read the landscape from up close to determine the best way upward.
For starters, we'll climb the grassy slope on the right side. Later, we'll find out that that isn't the best way up. Next time, we'll just stay on the trail, taking a branch to the left, and it will take us to the base of the climb. -F.
