Mammoth Trip, 2018

September 21

Attempt on Volcanic Ridge

With my shorter legs, I can't quite bridge holds, and have to rely on Bill offering me a stick to pull myself up on.

While this isn't the most impressive looking climb of the trip, it's the hardest effort we put in. Even if there's no cliff behind me, but mostly soft organic matter, I don't treasure the thought of falling backward onto hard rocks sticking out of the organic matter.

While I'm having a hard time getting up this, I wonder how Stella is going to manage. -F.
