Daniel Libeskind
The Israeli-American professor and architect Daniel Libeskind was born in Lódz, Poland to Holocaust survivors in 1946. The Jewish Museum, Berlin, completed in 1999, was his first major work of international renown, incorporating some very powerful, visceral design elements.
